One of the nation’s most mouth watering events is almost upon us – the 7th National Samosa Week!

The annual occasion taking place next week (April 8-14th) was set up to celebrate the popular triangular snack that we all know and love. It is the brainchild of Pukaar Group – a media and events company based in Leicester.

To celebrate this year’s event, a samosa eating competition is taking place at ‘Geoffery’s’, on the city’s Golden Mile. People are encouraged to attend the restaurant next Saturday and Sunday, in order to try and beat the record set by Ady Dayman in 2018.

The Radio Leicester presenter managed to woof down a total of 15 in ten minutes, making him the current ‘Samosa King’. An impressive achievement indeed!

If you have the guts (and the appetite) to take him on, get yourself down to Geoffery’s on Belgrave Road, between 2 and 4pm!

The doors will be open wide and the samosas free for all who wish to take part in this tasty trial!

You can also take part in National Samosa Week by making your own Samosas at home and tagging @nationalsamosaweek on social media.
